The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) – Dubai has announced that some ex-pats stuck abroad would have their residency visas extended. The operation will be carried out “under specific conditions.” Since their residency expired, beneficiaries must have been outside the UAE between April 20 and November 8, 2021. During this time, the residence file must not have been canceled at the request of the sponsor. Expats who meet these requirements will have their visas extended until November 9th. Additionally, when the stranded residents enter the nation, the system will allow them to change or renew their visas for 30 days from the date of entrance.
